On the Road for the 4th of July Holiday

On our way to DC to visit Aunt Michele & Uncle Scott and to celebrate the 4th of July, we stopped off for an overnight visit with Jenna and Ryan, and then headed to the Baltimore Aquarium. Our aquarium visit was short and sweet, just enough time to see the sharks, jellyfish, stingrays and, of course, the aquarium's version of "Nemo"!

Our 1st stop in DC was a tour of the White House with Uncle Scott, stopping by the Oval Office, Press Briefing room, the Rose Garden, the Cabinet's meeting room and other stately office and meeting areas.

We scoped out a great spot on Massachusettes Ave to see DC's spectacular fireworks display--- not too crowded, not too loud, only 4 blocks from our hotel, and a perfect view of the display

A vacation wouldn't be complete without a late-night run for ice cream. As you can see, Tela and Eliza both thoroughly enjoyed their favorite flavors!
