Winter Smiles

Oh, the weather outside is frightful....
but Tela and Eliza are delightful as they anxiously anticipate Christmas, Santa in particular!
This is the first year that the girls really 'get it' about Christmas. Just about every night when Tela goes to bed, we have do the count down to Christmas Eve. Eliza's eyes simply light up when she talks about Christmas and Santa.
It has been fun listening to the two of them talk and sing, especially since Tela's Pre-School Christmas Show. Eliza knows some words from "Rudolph" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," so she often roams that house singing parts of these tunes. Tela, always the big sister, tries to help Eliza with all of the exact words for the songs. I think I have heard them each say to one another "You better not cry... you better not pout... or Santa won't bring you presents" at various points over the past two weeks.
I can only imagine the wonder they will share on Christmas Day!
