Having Too Much Summer Fun

We have been enjoying the summer so much that we've barely kept up with our blog; finally, this morning, I decided it was time to share some photos & stories about our fun summer days!

We have spent the better part of the past month tenting in our backyard, as well as roasting marshmallows and sitting around our homemade campfire. Tela and Eliza have loved swimming at granmda's or aunt mary's on hot summer days. Both of them are like little fish, splashing and swimming.

Their imaginations are amazing... Eliza will play on-end in her Little People world. If she's not doing that, she's sitting somewhere with a book -- acutally, a pile of books. Tela tells lots of stories and always wants to play pretend --- whether it be house, princesses, Scooby Doo, or dinosaurs. She seems to be on a kick of telling stories about her "prehistoric days".

Some Summer Pics:

Eliza tells pappy a story from the "big book"

Eliza & Tela jump in their inflatable bouncer... it's lots of fun

Tela & Eliza get ready for an afternoon in their "animal water park" -- elephant that sprays, giraffe that squirts, and alligator pool with a little water fountain

Tela & Eliza helped pick strawberries, and ate a few along the way! YUMMY!

It was a perfect summer evening for strawberry picking. We made strawberry shortcake and strawberry jelly from the baskets of berries we picked.

Stay Tuned for More!
