Marty opted for the "End the War" T-shirt instead of (what might have been) his first choice for a fashion statement....
It was an exciting day! Tela, Eliza, Mommy, Grandma Battle, and Aunt Kelly cheered Marty on as he closed in on the 23rd mile. Of course, just as Marty was about to reach us, Tela decided she needed to use the potty.... Luckily Grandma took care of business and returned just in time for Marty to give "big sweaty kisses" to Tela and Eliza! Both girls made signs for their daddy and yelled "Yippee...." when they saw him. Tela actually wanted to join him and finish the race with him. Marty was energized at the 24th-25th mile when he saw Aunt Erin, Uncle AJ and baby Pia.
