Christmas 2009

Christmas Day 2009 was unlike any other. Tela got a boat load of Littlest Pet Shop stuff while Eliza got some Strawberry Shortcake and Dora things (to name a few). The best present Santa gave was a puppy - Harry-Doo. Now we finally have a little boy in the family.

When we got to Grandma and Pappy's, there were more presents to be opened...



and family to be around.



All in all, it was a wonderful day.

Dress Up Day #2

Christmas Eve was another fun day at Grandma and Pop's. Tela and Eliza got lots of dress up stuff for their Christmas presents and they put on a dress up show with some of their new threads.

First they had to get cleaned up with Pia in the whirlpool bubble bath.

It's Christmas Time once more.
Tela and Eliza went to see Santa.



We put up our tree and train set.



The family all enjoyed Tela's Christmas show with her schoolmates. Eliza and Tela were dressed in their new pretty dresses for the show.



After the show we went to Dunkin Donuts to enjoy a treat.

Christmas Cookie and Craft Party

With their combined creative genius, Tela and Battle decided to have a Christmas cookie and craft party to celebrate the season. Some of Tela and Eliza's friends, as well as a few friends from Marywood joined our family for some creativity and tasty treats. Mother Nature also joined us giving Scranton its first snowfall of the season right in the middle of the festivities. It was great!

Then it was time to play in the snow. Anna, Dana, Tela, Megan, and Eliza made a snowman...

Then the kids crashed the snowman. I guess I need to read Gandhi to them again.

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving was a super fun time this year.
Tela was a pilgrim at school and treated us to a little feast at home.



There was the regular assortment of Tela and Eliza being cute.



The deal went down, however, when we visited Grandma and Pop's house for Thanksgiving dinner. For some reason, every year there seems to be more and more kids (and shenanigans).

Mira Belle thought it was St. Patty's Day and drank too much of the punch. She then danced around and wet herself. (It happens to us all).

Then it was dress up time.....



Aniela was not too sure what she thought of the whole thing, but she sure looked sweet.



Pia was spreading her pixie dust around, leading to a most unusual wedding.



Eliza and Jenna were Bridesmaids.



Tela and Ryan tied the knot. Ryan's smile says it all!
The couples first dance was a thrill for all in attendance.

Not-So-Scary-Halloween

Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, Walt Disney World!

Mickey's-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was fantastic. Tela and Eliza dressed up in their Minnie-Mouse costumes. We met lots of Disney characters (as you can see), saw a great parade and amazing fireworks display, and we barely had to wait for any rides in Magic Kingdom ... in fact, at the end of the night, we got on Splash Mountain. When the ride was over, we were invited to stay on for a second go-around because no one was in line waiting.... so we did!
